Poisoned: This condition of the damage type earth can be caused by spells or by certain monsters. Poisons can vary greatly in the total damage done, but any poisoning can easily be removed by using the “Antidote” spell or the “Antidote Rune”.

A flash of electrical energy will appear on your character at regular intervals, causing loss of hit points each time it appears. Similar to the condition of burning there is no remedy against electrification – all you can do is to heal the caused damage and to wait for the special condition to go away.
Drowning: Tibia has a special underwater area. Since nobody can survive without breathing fresh air, characters take damage if they walk underwater without wearing the right equipment. The only chance to survive is to quickly leave the water or to put on your life-saving diving helmet.
Freezing: This condition of the damage type ice is caused by the freezing breath of certain monsters. For an extended period of time, this condition causes your character to lose hit points at regular intervals. There is no medicine to cure this condition, but if you are near a priest, you can ask him to heal you.
Dazzled: If your character is marked as dazzled, a holy light has just struck you with pitiless strength. Similar to being electrified, your character loses a decreasing amount of hit points a few times. Also for this condition, caused by the damage type holy, exists no remedy and therefore all you can do is wait or to find a priest that can heal you.
Cursed: Have your health potions and healing spells ready, whenever a creature curses you. If your character is under this special condition of the damage type death, a black cloud is literally hanging over its head. For a considerable time, it will lose an increasing number of hit points at regular intervals. Unfortunately, there is no elixir to lift the curse, you will have to wait until the spook is over.
Drunk: The taverns on Tibia are popular places, and many adventurers enjoy relaxing from their wearisome travels over a pint of cool beer. However, Tibian beer is pretty strong, so don’t be surprised if your character has problems with walking in a straight line for a while.
Slowed: Some creatures or spells may slow your character down. Until the effect has ended or until it has been dispelled by using healing magic your character will walk much slower than usual. Note, however, that all other actions such as casting spells can be carried out normally.
Haste: This condition is the direct opposite of the “Slow” effect. As long as it lasts your character will move much faster, although any other character effects such as hit point regeneration or attack rate will not be sped up. Needless to say, this is a desirable effect. Characters can be hasted by spells or by special magical items.
Magic Shield: Another positive spell effect. Magic shields protect characters from hit point loss while they last, reducing their mana instead. However, note that if a character’s mana is reduced to zero, any further damage will be deducted from his hit points normally.
Strengthened: This condition is caused by various spells. Whenever such a spell is cast, one or several skills of the character have been raised for a certain time period. This condition can be found in most parties where characters, depending on their vocation, are able to raise the magic level, the regeneration of hit points, the weapon skills, or the shielding of party members.
Protection Zone: Whenever your character is standing in a protection zone, it will be indicated by this little symbol. When being in a protection zone, characters cannot perform any aggressive actions, however, it also means that characters are safe here as they cannot be attacked by creatures or other characters. Logout Block: Although it is perhaps the most common condition, the logout block icon is special. Whenever your characters are involved in violence they will be barred from logging out. For details please see the manual section on logout block.
Protection Zone Block: A protection zone block is always accompanied also by a logout block. Whenever your character has attacked another character first, he will not only be unable to log out, but can also not enter any protection zones. However, there is no protection zone block if you attack a member of your party.

Bride’s mehendi is much more intricate than the groom’s mehendi.
‘Ubtan’ or ‘Haldi’ ceremony is done on the morning of the wedding. It is a paste of herbs that is used to bathe the bride and the groom on their wedding day. On the bride’s side in a north Indian wedding, Chooda is another important ceremony. It is a set of red and cream color ivory bangles that are brought by the bride’s maternal uncle and aunt that adorn her wrists. This ceremony is also formalized in the presence of a priest amid the chanting of mantras.
After all these pre-wedding ceremonies of the matrimony , bride and groom get ready in their wedding attire for the main ceremony. Baraat that is the wedding procession of the groom reaches the bride’s venue. The groom is generally mounted on a horse or a horse-driven chariot. There is a lot of dancing in the procession. It is to express the elation of the groom’s family. The baraat is received by the elders of the bride’s family. After that a small pooja is done to welcome the groom. This is followed by ‘Jaimal’. It is the exchange of garlands between the bride and the groom. This is followed by dinner for all the guests. A lot of delicacies constitute the lavish feast of north Indian weddings. After this comes ‘bidaai’ or the taking away of the bride by the groom’s family. This is an emotional ceremony as this means that now the girl belongs to the groom’s family. As the story goes the archaeological party, headed by Frederick Albert Mitchell-Hedges, elected to torch a 33-hectare area around the settlement to facilitate the dig. Rising from the ashes when the smoke cleared, was the staggering sight of an ancient site, the Lost Maya City of Lubaantun. There stood Lubaantun’s city walls, stone pyramid and enormous arena capable of housing thousands of spectators.
Occupied from 730 A.D. to 890 A.D., Lubaantun was one of the last great Mayan holdouts before the collapse of a far-flung empire once teeming with 20 million people. In 160 years, the Maya of Lubaantun built their realm into a flourishing commercial and ceremonial hub, casting their reach westward into Guatemala for jade and obsidian and eastward to the shores of the Caribbean for shells and sea creatures. Their domain extended over an estimated area of 625 square miles.
Lubaantun, known as “the place of fallen stones” was built in the dry masonry style of architecture specific to Southern Belize. Some consider Lubaantun a minor Mayan settlement. However, the beauty and majesty of this Late Classic site; with its rounded corners and curves, endemic to this location only, cannot be discounted.
The Skull of Doom: Skulls litter the corridors of Mayan history. In the Mayan world, the skull was sacred. Enshrined in their rites and architecture, all sacred Mayan centres had a “Place of the Skull”. Used in esoteric rituals by Mayan high priests, crystal skulls have coursed through history exerting power over skeptic and believer alike. It was Mitchell-Hedges’ belief that “if a Mayan priest held the skull, while killing someone in his thoughts, the person would die”. Throughout the years, he did refer to it as the “Skull of Doom” which could have been based in facts known by Mitchell-Hedges or pure marketing hype concocted by a flamboyant adventurer.
In all the murky history related to the Crystal Skull, one thing is transparent. The Skull of Doom has proven to be anything but that for Steven Spielberg, director of the Indiana Jones’ movies; box office receipts for the May 24, 2008 opening weekend of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull topped $126 million!
The Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull is carved from a unique type of clear quartz crystal; both cranium and mandible (allegedly discovered separately) appear to be derived from the same solid block. Weighing in at 11.7 pounds (versus that of an adult human skull at 2.2 pounds), the Crystal Skull is an anatomically accurate replica of a human skull, albeit a small one. Its small size of about five inches high, five inches wide, and seven inches long have prompted some to refer to the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull as a “She”.
In 1970, Anna Mitchell-Hedges submitted the Crystal Skull to Hewlett Packard Laboratories for extensive scrutiny and analysis. The results of their testing were as confounding and astonishing as could be imagined. Researchers discovered that the skull had been carved against the grain (the natural axis of the crystal), an anomaly which would have resulted in the shattering of the Crystal Skull even with the use of modern, and high-tech cutting devices.
Further flummoxing the HP researchers was the fact that they couldn’t detect any microscopic scratches on the crystal which would have earmarked the Crystal Skull as having been carved with metal tools. Frank Dorland, an art restoration expert who oversaw the testing, hypothesized that the Crystal Skull was initially chiseled with diamonds and then further sculpted with a solution of silicon and water. However, this exacting process would have taken 300 years to complete! Thus spawned the theory that the origin of the Crystal Skull was extra-terrestrial or from an ancient, technologically advanced civilization such as Atlantis.
No wonder the author, Arthur C. Clarke, called the Crystal Skull “the weirdest gem in the world”!

Anna Mitchell-Hedges, owner of the Crystal Skull for close to five decades, cashed in her cookies in her 100th year of life; her longevity ascribed to the Skull’s purported powers. Bequeathed the Crystal Skull in 1959 by her adoptive father, F. A. Mitchell-Hedges, Anna claimed that the Skull had powers to “foretell tragedy”, alleging it “turned cloudy” before JFK was assassinated. She vowed that the Crystal Skull “was a reason to live”; an assertion she stuck to until the end of her life. In a twist of fate, the current heir to the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull, Bill Homann, lives in Indiana. Take heart, Indiana Jones!
However, this story begins long before Anna’s death in 2007 and long before 1967 when Anna Mitchell-Hedges held court as Keeper of the Crystal Skull in a motel on Victoria Street in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
Did the story begin in 1924 when the 17-year old Anna supposedly accompanied her father on an expedition to the lost Maya city of Lubaantun, British Honduras (now Belize)? There, she contended, they discovered the Crystal Skull under an altar in the excavated ruins. The story unfolds that only part of the Crystal Skull was unearthed that day, with the detachable “jaw bone” discovered in the same room in a subsequent excursion three months later (rather implausible). However, no photographs of the Crystal Skull or Anna emerged from those taken during this excursion.
Perhaps, the origins of the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull can be tracked back to a sailor of fortune’s wife who sold it to Tiffany’s, the New York jeweler, in 1929?
Or does the story begin in 1943 when Mitchell-Hedges evidently bought the Crystal Skull at a Sotheby’s auction in London? Records have been unearthed that show that the British Museum bid against Mitchell-Hedges for the crystal relic to add the Crystal Skull to their collection at the Museum of Mankind. This note was written by a British Museum staff member: “Bid at Sotheby’s sale, lot 54, 15 x 43 up to 340 pounds (Fairfax). Brought in by Burney. Sold subsequently by Mr. Burney at auction at Sotheby’s in London, http://naturalperfumers.com/mlist.htm in 1943 to Mr. Mitchell-Hedges for 400 pounds”.
Or does the tale hearken back 3,600 years, as F.A. “Mike” Mitchell-Hedges wrote in his 1954 autobiography “Danger My Ally”? “The skull” he wrote “is at least 3,600 years old and…has been described as the embodiment of all evil. I do not wish to try and explain this phenomenon”.

Mitchell-Hedges wrote “How it came into my possession I have reason for not revealing.” One thing that is crystal clear is that Mitchell-Hedges liked to spin tales – tall or not – which included accounts of his gambling with J.P. Morgan, rooming with Leon Trotsky and fighting with Pancho Villa!
Born in 1882, Mitchell-Hedges left Britain in 1899 and headed to America. A card shark, he underwrote his travels with money earned at the card tables. In his travels to Mexico, he was captured by the mustachioed, charismatic folk hero, Pancho Villa; the bandito-turned-revolutionary, who roamed the sierras as Mexico’s Robin Hood for more than two decades. Sometime, after he was taken prisoner, the swashbuckling British adventurer and swaggering Mexican revolutionary became good friends. Even Indiana Jones would have been proud.
An intrepid trailblazer with Indiana Jones’ chutzpah, Mitchell-Hedges left Mexico for Honduras and Jamaica. His explorations on land and discoveries underwater led him to believe that an ancient civilization had once graced the area; he identified this venerable culture as Atlantis. His 1924 expedition to British Honduras, now Belize, was in search of Atlantis.

There is a story told about Ivan the Great who ruled Russia as Czar in the 15th century. He was a warrior, a fighter, and a conqueror of kingdoms. The Soviet Union as we knew it a few years ago was basically put into place by Ivan the Great.
Ivan was so busy doing battle that some of his comrades became concerned because he hadn’t taken time to get married and have a family. They came to him and said “You’ve got to get married because you’ve got to have an heir to the throne.” But Ivan said “I want to do battle and to conquer more territory, you go find a wife for me.” So they did.
Ivan’s men found a wife for him from the daughter of the king of Greece, a beautiful girl. They said to Ivan, “We found a wife for you, but there’s one problem.” “What’s that?” he asked. “If you’re going to marry her, you have to be Greek Orthodox,” they said. Ivan the Great said, “Well, if you think she’d make a good wife for me, that’s no problem, I could be Greek Orthodox.”
The king of Greece was thrilled with this because it meant that Ivan wasn’t going to invade his territory. So the Greeks sent tutors to Russia to tutor Ivan and 500 of his elite soldiers, everyone a great warrior. The soldiers required tutoring because Ivan said, “If I’m going to be Greek Orthodox, they’re going to be Greek Orthodox.”
They tutored all these men in the Greek Orthodox faith and finally Ivan and the soldiers went down to Greece for the wedding. But before the marriage they had to be baptized into the Greek Orthodox church. It was an incredible sight as thousands of people came to watch Ivan the Great and his 500 soldiers all wade into the water at one time to be baptized by immersion into their new church.
Five hundred soldiers with full armor and five hundred Greek Orthodox priests were standing in the blue water of the Mediterranean Sea for the baptism, when all of a sudden the king of Greece said, “We’ve got a problem.” The problem was that in the Greek Orthodox church you could not be a warrior and a member of the church at the same time.
So they held a hastily-called diplomatic meeting in the water to ask, “How are we going to work this out?” They came up with a simple answer. Just before the priests immersed the soldiers, each man took out his sword, held it high above the water, and allowed the priest to baptize everything but his sword arm. This came to be known as “the unbaptized arm.”
There are many Christians today who have unbaptized checkbooks. They have dedicated every part of their life to God except their money. As someone has said, “The last thing to be converted is our pocketbook.”

Top 1. At the bottom of a Mine Pit
I know many blokes think of getting married as being tied with a ball and chain or maybe going to hell, but who in their right mind wants to start the trip when there alive. Personally, mines are generally hot, wet and dirty and why any husband and bride would want to marry at the bottom of a mine pit is beyond me.
Top 2. In the middle of the Simpson Desert
The Simpson Desert is one of those iconic outback locations you have to see to believe but to get married in the middle of a desert is beyond me. Whilst it is a little better than a mine pit, not by much. Now my question is, “Who brought the beer?”
Top 3. On a Yacht in Lake Eyre
Lake Eyre is Australia’s largest inland sea and whilst that doesn’t seem like a weird location to get married, let me fill you in on a little more. The Fifth Element
In 1914 in a ruined temple in Egypt, an archaeologist and a priest uncover ancient writings describing the arrival of a Great Evil every five millennia. The excavation is interrupted by the arrival of giant aliens called Mondoshawan. The Mondoshawan enter the temple and removed four stones corresponding with the four elements (water, fire, earth and air) from a hidden crypt inside the temple. They hide the stones until such time as the Great Evil arrives. They charge the priest with preserving the temple and its knowledge through the generations and promise to return with all the stones and the fifth element necessary to protect the world when the time comes.
In the year 2263, a Federal Navy space fleet is swallowed by a planetary eclipse, giving birth to the Great Evil that was foretold by the Mondoshawan. As they promised, the Mondoshawan come to earth to return the stones in order to stop the Great Evil. However, during their journey, the Mondoshawan’s ship is shot down by a war-like alien race called Mangalores. From the wreck, scientists recover a fragment of one of the Mondoshawan with several living cells. From the fragment they clone Leeloo Minai Lekarariba-Laminai-Tchai Ekbat De Sebat (played by the beautiful Milla Jovovich), a supreme being. Leeloo escapes the laboratory and dives into a passing taxicab driven by Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis), a former major in the Federated Army’s Special Forces. Korben brings an unconscious Leeloo to Priest Vito Cornelius.
The Mangalores meet Zorg (Gary Oldman), a wealthy industrialist who commissioned the assault on the Mondoshawan ship. Zorg offers to give weapons to the Mangalores in exchange for the stones inside the case salvaged from the crashed Mondoshawan ship. Unfortunately for Zorg, and the Mangalores who he subsequently kills, the case from the Mondoshawan ship is empty.
Meanwhile, at Cornelius’s apartment, Leeloo reveals that the stones are actually safeguarded by renowned opera singer Diva Plavalaguna (Ma?wenn Le Besco), whom Leeloo must meet and that she is the fifth element necessary to save the world from the Great Evil.
The Galactic President learns about the stones and the Diva and drafts Dallas back into the Federated Army to retrieve the stones. Dallas is sent to Fhloston Paradise, a space liner where the Diva will be performing, as a winner of a contest. Dallas and Leeloo go to Fhloston Paradise where all hell breaks loose during the Diva’s evening performance.
In order to save the world, Leeloo must take the four stones and herself to the ancient temple. When they finally get to the temple, a physically and emotionally wounded Leeloo questions the validity of protecting life that is not worth protecting. She is hesitant to provide the Divine Light needed to complete the process, fearing that humans will inevitably destroy themselves. As it turns out, the fifth element, necessary to save the world and protect it from the Great Evil, is Love.
It all just goes to show that, in the past hundreds of years, we humans have been destroying ourselves in many different ways and the reason life is worth living, is for the love we share. So save the world, spread the Divine Light, share the love.
